8 Points To Consider When Choosing An Online University Degree Program

Word Count:
543

Summary:
If you are considering online universities for your degree or career training, there are a few important points to consider in choosing your online degree offers by online university.

Keywords:
online university, online degree, online university degree program, online education, online student

Article Body:
Since the introduction of online degree programs, more and more colleges and universities offer online degree programs with subject areas range from business to nursing, degrees from Bachelor to MBAs and Ph.Ds. Online degree programs enable busy people to pursue their degree from any places and at their own schedule.

But, with the rapid growth and high demand in online degree programs, many fake online degree programs have been introduced by unaccredited online universities. Mistakenly earning a fake online degree definitely will not help in your educational journey. Thus, if you are considering online universities for your degree or career training, there are a few important points to consider in choosing your online degree offers by online university. This article will lists down 8 of them for your reference:

How long has the universities been established? While a short educational history is not a red flag, a long-standing position in the educational committee is a sign of institutional security and reputability.

Is the online university accredited? Accreditation ensures a basic level of quality in the education you receive from an institution. It also ensures your degrees will be recognized for the true achievements they are. Most potential employers review a job applicant’s educational history to make sure that he or she has received his or her education from a college, university, or program with accreditation. If your degree, diploma, or certificate comes from a school without accreditation, it could hurt your chances for future employment.

What is the institution’s financial history/current position? Beware of fly-by-night operations that may not be in business next year!

What other expenses are associated with your selected online degree course? Many online degree programs may require you to attend some hours of physical classes or lab works. Thus, the online universities may assess additional items such as technology fees or lab costs.

Does the coursework of your selected online degree program meet your educational goal? Taking irrelevant courses may waste your time and money. Ask for a list of coursework of your selected degree program and review it against your educational goal before you decide to sign up.

How current is the course material? Ask for a list of current textbooks or other learning materials to ensure they are current and relevant.

What technological support is available to you as their online student? Online Universities normally has a webpage for online student which allow you to logon to view your coursework status, assignment submission, getting support from online university on any course related issues and access online library if any. Check with online university on these related information.

What student services are available to online students? Full advising, placement, and tutoring services may or may not be available to long-distance learners. Get this information from the online universities; it is important to know how much the online university can support you as their online student.

In conclusion, get as much as information on your selected online university’s program and review it to see whether it is truthful in its advertising and recruiting and the most important is whether it meet your education need and career goal.
5 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Taking Your First Online Class

Word Count:
623

Summary:
Just a few short years ago, the idea of taking a college course through the Internet was something online techies considered. Now that people realize how convenience it is to take a class without leaving home, more and more people are taking advantage of using their computer to learn.

But while the technology used for online classes is so simple just about anyone can become an online student, you should ask yourself the following 5 questions first and save yourself a l…

Article Body:
Just a few short years ago, the idea of taking a college course through the Internet was something online techies considered. Now that people realize how convenience it is to take a class without leaving home, more and more people are taking advantage of using their computer to learn.

But while the technology used for online classes is so simple just about anyone can become an online student, you should ask yourself the following 5 questions first and save yourself a lot of stress!

1) Do you have the time?
Many people think mistakenly that online courses are easier than traditional campus classes. But most online classes require regular participation. So, you must have the time to log on to your course several times each week, complete the assignments and do your homework, and interact with the other students.

All of this takes timeand, you have to account for the time you would normally have spent in the classroom. If you have the time, you will find taking an online class to be very convenient!

2) Do you have the discipline?
Sure, most online classes dont require you to be on the computer at a specific time (although some do). So it is up to you to make sure you check in on your class several times each week. With a busy work schedule, sports, hobbies, housework, kids, its easy to put your class low on your priority list. And that could mean big trouble when it comes time to get your grade.

Its not the teachers job to remind you to keep up with your work thats your responsibility. A simple way to make this work is to create your own schedule, so each week you know exactly when its time to go to class!

3) Do you have the money?
While there are many free or low-cost online self help courses available, college courses almost always cost the same whether you take them on-campus, or online. Colleges have to buy the software, train their faculty, and offer student services after hours so expecting online courses to be less expensive is not reasonable.

On the other hand, the same financial aid is often available for online classes, just as with campus classes. So, money should not stop any student from furthering their education!

4) Do you have the right technical skills?
Fortunately, you dont have to be a computer genius to take an online class. The technology has become very simple for students and teachers to use, so that students who can surf the Internet and use email usually have the necessary technical skills.

Before getting started, the school offering the course should have a sample course, tutorial, or other training to help you determine if there are any skills you need to learn, so you can become a successful online student!

5) Do you have the right computer equipment?
Since most online classes are taught through the Internet, students usually dont need any special computer equipment. However, most online classes require students to have reliable access to the Internet, an email account (and the knowledge to use it), a word processor (such as Microsoft Word), and antivirus software. Check with your school to see if there are any other requirements.

A high speed internet connection is usually not required, but if instructors use graphics, videos, audio lectures, or other big files, a high speed connection (such as DSL or cable) will help you open the files, and do you work, more efficiently!

Are you ready now to take your first online class? Then its time to contact your local college, or search the internet for an online class directory, and see what online courses you can take!
Get blog assistant that works hard for you

Summary:
Want a more beautiful garden? It’s easier than you think once you understand the 5 “Zen” rules of fantastic gardens. This article provides all the tricks and tips you need to make it happen.

Keywords:

Article Body:
Flowering landscape trees are the crown jewels of the yard.
Perhaps no other plants, individually, can have as great an
impact on how a yard looks in spring. Browse the articles to
which I’ve linked below for information on particular varieties
of flowering landscape trees. Pictures are included.

Crape Myrtles: Landscape Trees of the South

A popular choice in flowering landscape trees for Southerners,
crape myrtles have a long blooming period (mid-summer to
fall). The blooming clusters of these flowering landscape trees
come in pink, white, red and lavender. The clusters appear on
the tips of new wood. Northerners can sometimes get away
with treating these flowering landscape trees as perennials
that die back in winter but come back in spring.

Trees

Not all specimens with a weeping habit are flowering
landscape trees, but this article looks at several weeping
varieties that do bloom, headed by four types of cherry.
Saucer Magnolias

The size and shape of the blooms are what suggested the
common name for these flowering landscape trees. Want a
specimen with a brilliant bloom as big as a saucer? Access
information on these beauties here.

Rose of Sharon

Although some people think of it as a landscape “tree”
(because it gets tall and can be pruned so as to have a single
trunk), rose of sharon is, in fact, a flowering shrub. The fact
that it blooms relatively late — and for a long time — makes it
a valuable plant for those looking to distribute their yard’s
color display throughout the growing season.
Top 10 List of Flowering Landscape Trees and Shrubs for
Spring |

This article features information on ten flowering landscape
trees and shrubs that brighten our spring seasons. Included
are redbud, callery pear and crabapple.
Hawthorn: Late-Blooming Landscape Trees

This article offers information on Washington hawthorn trees,
which are perhaps most valued for the time at which they
bloom (late spring to early summer). Many of the popular
flowering specimens bloom earlier in the spring, and while
their blossoms are pleasant sights for eyes sore from winter’s
barrenness, they desert us too quickly!
Published with Blogomator

The story is all too familiar to people who drop out of high school. Many have low-paying jobs or no jobs at all. And when they try to learn a trade or get a certificate to enter a profession with decent pay, they find out a harsh truth – all professional or post-secondary schools require a high school diploma.

Three women in New York City – Lillian Betancourt, 37, Latoya Abrams, 21, and Shereen France, 41 – all found themselves in this type of frustrating situation.

After years of trying to pay bills on time and just getting by, these women decided to turn their lives around and get high school diplomas.

Through advertisements and word of mouth, the women found Careertel, which represents the Liberty High School Diploma Program. This distance-learning program enables adults to earn their high school diplomas while they continue to work and attend to their other obligations.

“Location, working hours, age provide no barrier for serious, motivated distance-learning students,” said Jerome Polvay, president of Careertel.

Approved by the Vermont State Board of Education, Liberty High School allows students to control the pace at which they study. Material is provided for each class and all assignments and exams are completed at home. If students need tutoring, faculty advisers offer help over the phone. Also, credit is given for courses they previously completed.

Now, with their high school diplomas in hand, the future looks very promising for the women. In fact, all three are now seeking higher education. Betancourt is studying criminal law in New York, Abrams will attend Georgia College & State University, and France will be attending nursing school in New York.

“Finally I feel important,” said Betancourt. “I’m reaching my goal.”
Struggling to get blog traffic? Click here

Have you got to give in your dissertation in the next 20 days and you havent started it yet? You find yourself badly stuck and dont know what to do. You have absolutely no idea where to get the dissertation help from or how to even get started.

Have you got to give in your dissertation in the next 20 days and you havent started it yet? You find yourself badly stuck and dont know what to do. You have absolutely no idea where to get the dissertation help from or how to even get started.

Stuck are you…uhh? Then following strategies will allow you, for FREE, to successfully undertake this task. There are three essential sources that provide dissertation help for free:

1. Dissertation Advisor:
What slow and painful death can I give to my hopeless dissertation advisor? Crucifixion is too good for this useless wretchIs this your immediate thought that comes into your mind when your advisor doesnt reply your e-mails or doesnt get in contact with you or always rejects what you send.

For the last 5 years I’ve been hearing from quite a few students that dealing with the supervisor is a total nightmare. As a matter of fact my research shows that every 8 out of 10 students who have to submit their dissertations say that they are stuck because of their advisors. Although in situations your advisor may prove to be chaotic but it is not the only reason of your dissertation stoppages. Turn the cameras on yourself and ask these questions from yourself:

Are you missing your deadlines?
Are you calling off and postponing meetings numerous times?
Are you insisting on quick answers when you don’t provide them yourself?
Do you always keep altering ideas, topic, or approach?
Are you shying away from your advisor because of any of the above reasons?

If you answer is yes to any one of the above questions, then you may be a catalyst to the disorder of your relationship. Analyze what you can do to act more responsibly and consistently and more importantly to get the advisor help you.

2. A Friend Who Has Written a Dissertation Before:
Another source of dissertation help can be your friend. If you know someone who has already written a dissertation, you are likely to get tremendous help from them. Your friend can not only help you with the research but can give you a guideline that you could follow to write your own dissertation. You can also get a copy of your friends dissertation and use it as a reference.

3. Local & Online Libraries:
Libraries, whether local or online, also serve as a source of dissertation help for you. You can easily find material related to the subject and theme of your dissertation. Being able to go through literally hundreds of references will help you collect relevant matter for your dissertation.

All universities preserve copies of dissertations, usually in their libraries, or in the individual department, or both. Dont forget to check the universities libraries to find a copy of your dissertation. You can also purchase it for nominal prices through universitys website or through phone.

Dissertations were being done long before the internet came along. Depending too much on the internet and not enough on your own resources, like taking a walk to a local library, can actually hurt your academic paper big time. However, internet resources are now much more sophisticated and comprehensive. Here is a list of few online sources Ive found useful during my dissertation writing process:

http://www.scholar.google.com: Google Scholar offers a search of scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources, including theses, dissertations, books, abstracts and articles.

http://www.books.google.com: Google has digitized many books from library collections, including hundreds of books related to Old English literature: editions, translations and much more. You just need to have a Gmail account to access full books.

http://www.questia.com: The world’s biggest online library. Although it is a paid resource but worthwhile browsing through. Also it is very cheap. A few bucks can get you a months membership to browse through thousands of books, journals, articles, newspapers and magazines.

http://www.ebscohost.com: Through this great resource you can access hundreds of libraries by sitting at your home through internet. Remote access of EBSCO’s databases is only allowed to subscribing institutions for personal, non-commercial use. You should check with your institute to see if they have subscribed to this resource.

Final Thoughts:
Knowing the appropriate resources available for dissertation help will most certainly allow you to stay focused. Maintaining human relationship is an art. You have to be smart as well as responsible when interacting with your advisor to get maximum help. Friends and peers are often ignored when you are trying to get your dissertation finished. Dont make the mistake of forgetting them.

When trying to get free dissertations online be careful about your topic and university guidelines. You may well download a dissertation thinking it as a great match to your topic but in reality it isnt. You can also search and buy dissertations from the university’s website. Also see if there’s an interlibrary loan system that could send you a copy.
Fatal Blogging System Kills Competition

With higher education tuition increasing at double digit year over year percentages an effective saving plan for your kids education is becoming much more important than it has been before. Most families will discover that their future higher education costs will be much more than they have saved for their kids education. This leaves many kids to be faced with obtaining financial aid to pay for a portion of their college education. The goal of this article is to explore the pros and cons of 4 common investment options when saving for college. This article will also explore why some of these options are better than other when considering a portion of your kids education may be funded by financial aid.

529 College Savings Plan: – A 529 college savings plan is a fairly new investment option for college saving. It allows just about anyone to save for college. There is a long list of benefits of a 529 college savings plan, but perhaps the most important is that your earnings grow tax free if you use it for qualified education expenses. Additionally, the maximum amount you can contribute to a 529 plan can go as high as several hundred thousand dollars depending on your State. In the event you do not use the funds for college, you can still withdrawal your earnings, but you will have to pay taxes and a 10% penalty. The penalty will be waived if your child receives a scholarship, or your child becomes disable or dies.

529 plans can typically be purchased through a broker or mutual fund company, but a disadvantage is that investment choices can sometimes be limited. Since qualifying for financial aid is based on a calculation that considers your kids assets, another big benefit of a 529 college savings plan is that the money in the plan is classified as a parents assets so less that 6% of the value counts against your kids financial aid eligibility.

Uniform Gifts to Minors Act/Uniform Transfers to Minors Act

(UGMA/UTA Custodial Account): – The benefit of a UMGA/UTA Custodial Account is that there is no limit on the contribution and it is easy to set up at most financial institutions. However, the limitations far outweigh the benefits. The first limitation of a UMGA/UTA Custodial Account is that these types of accounts offer very little tax advantage. If your child is under 14, only the first $800 of income is tax free, the next $800 is taxed at your childs tax rate and after that there is no tax benefit at all. The other big limitation is that the account has to be set up in your childs name. As a result, if your child needs financial aid all of the assets will be reviewed at a 35% rate. Therefore, this type of account is not advisable for those who may need financial aid.

Coverdell Education Savings Account (CESA): – A Coverdell Education Savings Account is very similar to a 529 college savings plan. The main difference is that with a Coverdell Education Savings Account you can only contribute $2000 per child and to qualify your adjusted gross income must be less than $110,000 if single and less than $220,000 if married filing jointly. The account is classified as a parents asset so less that 6% of the value counts against your kids financial aid eligibility.

In the end, parents should consider planning for college to be a highly important process. The above 3 alternatives can make this process much more easy and financially sound.

“Getting Around The Weight Loss Plateau”

Word Count:
626

Summary:
Among diet experts, there is a rarely mentioned adaptation of the body that prevents a diet program from achieving the maximum results. This adaptation, the weight loss plateau, can be tackled in a variety of ways, most of which involve changes to the training or diet regimen of a person. While circumventing the metabolic rate can be a difficult process, it can be done.

Keywords:
diet, car accident, muscle spasms, weight loss pills

Article Body:
The typical human form is capable of achieving a number of incredible feats that seem to suspend or defy the way science tells us things work. Athletes, through sheer willpower, can end up lifting something that their bodies should not be able to without suffering anything worse than muscle spasms. People can adapt to extreme physical trauma caused by a car accident and defy predictions that they’ll never walk again. While, in general, these amazing feats are useful in a number of situations, there are physical reactions that some people look upon with quite a bit of disfavor. Among these ?disfavored reactions? is something known as a ?weight loss plateau.?

Essentially, the ?plateau? is a term used to describe a situation where the body has become incapable of losing any further weight, usually due to developing a tolerance for the weight loss pills and methods being used. Essentially, the plateau is hit when the body develops tolerance for the regimen’s limitations and practices, thus allowing the metabolic rate of the body to adjust to whatever weight loss pills or techniques were being used. Most diet books decidedly ignore the existence of the plateau, primarily because it can be seen as negating the purpose of the diet and is, therefore, bad for marketing. There are, however, ways to counteract the human body building a tolerance for training regimens and weight loss pills.

The human metabolism, when presented with a pattern, will eventually adapt to that pattern. It is this natural adaptability of the human body that can cause the weight loss plateau, particularly if the person’s diet and eating habits have been altered for weight loss. As such, changing the pattern will, once a sufficient amount of time has passed, allow your diet plan or weight loss pills to become effective again. This trick essentially involves confusing the human metabolism, and is often taken as a rather drastic way to get the body back in ?diet mode.? There are, of course, several ways to effectively alter that pattern without causing the body permanent harm.

Adding strength and weight training and modifying one’s exercise program can also help someone get past the plateau, in most cases. The body will still burn through nutrients during physical activity, though the digestive system’s metabolic rate can adapt such that more weight is retained rather than burned during exercise. Increasing the difficulty of the exercises, or changing the movements to target less-developed muscle areas, can effectively force the body to re-adapt. While the body is busy adapting to the changes, it can also start losing weight again. This method is best used with alterations to the person’s diet, however, to maximize the effectiveness.

Another trick used to circumvent the problem of the plateau is to make changes to the time frame between meals. The internal clock that the human body’s digestive system operates on can be altered to suit one’s purposes, provided one executes the proper alterations to one’s diet and eating habits. A simple action like altering the schedule of the meals, such as adding more meals but reducing the bulk of each, can have an appreciable effect on altering the metabolic rate. The key concept of this method is to fool the body into burning the food faster, thus getting one’s weight loss program and diet back on track.

When considering the options, it is helpful to keep in mind that what works for one person may not work for another person. Some slower metabolisms may require combination of diet program and exercise regimen modifications, while others can get by with merely shortening the break between meals. The critical point is to find a method that works and is effective for a specific metabolism, which can be a time-consuming process.
Get blog assistant that works hard for you

“The Ever Growing World of Organic Skin Care Products”

Word Count:
517

Summary:
We have heard a lot of horrible stories about the effects of chemicals in our body most especially on our skin. There are more and more people that are developing allergic reactions to chemicals found in the mainstream beauty products. This article is about organic skin care products popularity and how it came about.

Keywords:
organic skin care products

Article Body:
We all know that eating food products that contain synthetic additives is not good for our health, especially to our skin. It has been said that if you want to take good care of your well-being, then what you put on your skin can be just as important as what you eat or drink. According to reports, the chemicals we apply to our skin are absorbed directly into our bodies. It is estimated that an average woman absorbs as much as two kilograms a year per person from cosmetics and toiletries alone. Cosmetics are also becomingly madly high-tech, with NASA scientists developing creams and beauty labs dedicated to researching complex ingredients. These are all lovely for youth-seekers, but sometimes one longs for the simple life, and it’s high time to look for alternatives. And that’s probably the reason why there are a lot of people that are shifting to organic skin care products.

Organic skin care is an area of the organic movement which has made real progress in recent times, and where previously, there were few options. But now, there is a fairly wide range of grooming products available out there. Organic skin care products are becoming increasingly popular due to concerns about chemicals used in many products. Studies have found that up to 60 percent of creams or make-up applied can penetrate the skin and get into the blood stream. Whether or not this causes health issues, it has alarmed some people and unsurprisingly, the organic health and beauty market is growing rapidly, with sales increasing around 20 percent every year.

In the last few, years organic beauty products have seen a tremendous growth in popularity and demand, since organic skin care products are the ideal option for people who cannot apply chemically enhanced products.
One can find several standards of the word ‘organic’ as related to skin care and health products. There are accredited certifying organizations trying to set regulations for what constitutes a 100% organic product. How does the consumer know what organic really means? Because we buy organic-labeled skin care and health products, we automatically expects these goods to be 100% free of synthetic and artificial ingredients. But the tremendous growth witnessed by the organic sector in the recent years has also given enough chances to some traders to promote and sell non-organic products as organic. So, products marketed as organic can still consist of potentially hazardous artificial ingredients.

Products labeled as 100% organic should not include synthetic ingredients at all nor entail the use of artificial products during the manufacturing process. product. Thus, the amount of natural ingredients in cosmetics, and other organic skin care products should still be scrutinized.

So, before shopping for organic skin care products, do a bit of research work about the brand. Always go for brands that are committed to provide guaranteed and efficient skincare products so that your skin gets only the best. If we were shocked to discover the dangers of many substances used in our every day make-up, shampoos and bath and shower products, why shouldn’t we give ourselves and our Mother Earth a favor, let’s go organic!
Make money giving away free blogging software

Summary:
In my capacity as the UK Director of Operations for One World Tours Limited, I am often asked what, in my opinion, are the 5 MUST see countries.

These are therefore my top 5 destinations

Keywords:
Holidays, in, Egypt, China, Jordan, Thailand, and, Hong Kong

Article Body:
1 – Egypt. King Tut, The Pyramids, The Valley of the Kings. The list is endless. But its just not the history and the culture, its the people too. Egyptians are some of the kindest and most generous people on the planet. They will welcome you into their homes in a second and even if they have almost nothing, they will share it with you.

An afternoon on the Nile with an Egyptian felucca captain sailing your boat as the sun sets over the Nile in Luxor is a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed.

2 China. China is not somewhere people immediately think of when planning a holidaybut they should, and hopefully after the Olympics in Beijing they will. Even if you could only afford 7 to 10 days, an itinerary that takes in Beijing, Xian, a Yangtze River Cruise and Shanghai will be a great introduction.

And for an unforgettable experience, juts visit Guilin. Guilins landscape is amazing and totally unique. It cant necessarily be called Mountainous as such, but the peaks that do rise, rise almost vertically up into the mist.

If you get a chance take a ski lift up to one of the peaks and just stare in awe at the view, and if you are feeing adventurous, take a kart down a toboggan style run (about 3,000 feet in length) !

3 Jordan. Handily located, if you plan it right you can visit Egypt and Jordan together to make a real trip to remember. Amman is a great city full of atmosphere, Petra is marvellous, but surely the cant miss site is the Dead Sea. The only ocean in the world with so much salt in it, you actually float !

This alone makes Jordan a must see country and on top of what I have already mentioned, dont forget the Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Jerash and the Kings Highway. A week in Jordan is good, but 10 days is better.

4 Hong Kong. Although there is much more to Hong Kong than just shopping, if you do love to shop, then Hong Kong is the place for you. A stroll along Nathan Road and a visit to the Temple Street market just HAS to be done. And make sure you have your bargaining hat on as haggling is as big a part of the experience as the purchases themselves.

There lots more to Hong Kong too. The great thing is that despite it being a modern city, there is tradition around every corner. Dont forget to take a trip to Victoria Peak and enjoy the stunning views and remember that even if its misty, there are 2 guys at the top who will take your picture and transpose it onto a picture of what you should see if the weather where not so poor ! I also suggest a couple of half day visits out to Lama and Lantau Islands too. A great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the craziness that is Hong Kong.

5 Thailand. Thailand suffers a little from its reputation of being a very hedonistic destination and while it is true that the is a very wild side to Thaialnd (especially certain areas of Bangkok, Phucket etc) there is also an amazing culture to immerse yourself in.

There really is everything there, adventure, culture and even for the not faint hearted, a place about 1 hour north of Thailand where you can go in, yes go in, with real live tigers. No cages, no chains, just you and around a dozen tigers. For me it was a thrill of a lifetime and without doubt it is just one of the many reasons that Thailand is in my top 5 of places you need to visit in the world
Published with Blogomator

Summary:
At last the excuse you’ve always needed: 5 surefire reasons why you should go on that skiing holiday.

Keywords:
ski, skiing, holidays, france, chamonix, travel

Article Body:
At last, solid proof for what weve long suspected: skiing and snowboarding are good for you. And thats not just because theyre both great fun and put a smile on your face but because this also improves our health, happiness, red blood cell count and makes us live longer. The evidence has always been there for us to see: the bearded septuagenarian bounding past you for the fifteenth time as you struggle down your first run of the day. Heres his secret…

Sunlight.
Are you SAD? 1 in 50 people in the UK suffer from seasonal affective disorder which is a type of depression which commonly occurs during the winter months when the days are shorter. You travel to and from work in the dark, are cooped up in the office all day, and levels of serotonin, the brains natural mood lifter, drop. SADs can vary from mild winter blues to a more severe form where people cant function in the winter without treatment. So get treatment and get up on the mountain. You may get depressed about the cost of a beer on the slopes, but thats not quite the same thing.

Adrenalin.
Were all just animals, obviously some creationists may disagree, but we need to exercise our fight or flight responses. What safer, or better, way of doing this than searching out the steepest black run you can find, or something just a little bit beyond your normal comfort zone. The adrenalin surge will activate the beta receptors in your nervous system causing your heart to beat faster and increasing air to the lungs. This stimulates the brain, and the endorphin rush of relief when its over, will make you feel like a super human after every run. You can then undo the good work done by celebrating with some apr賠ski in the bar afterwards.

Altitude.
Can the news get any better? Just being at altitude can make you thin, fit and desirable – at least the first two are true. A couple of years ago the Austrian Moderate Altitude Study was carried out. Men who were overweight and suffered from high blood pressure and high cholesterol were prescribed walks at an altitude of between 1400m and 2000M. The result? Exercise at altitude improves heart function and circulation, lowers blood pressure and burns calories. There was also an increased number of young red blood cells. So, as far as the theory goes, skiing rocks and just getting off at the top of the Aiguille du Midi (3842m) could add years to your life.

Fresh Air.
Spending time in the great outdoors helps to prevent disease and boost recovery. You can avoid the pretty nasty particles which float around in the urban air. According to some Harvard boffins in their Six Cities 1993 study those people living in the most polluted cities have a 26% greater risk of dying young than those in the cleanest. So give yourself a break from the congested traffic and polluted air and breath in that fresh, crisp, revitalising mountain air.

Learning.
Learning is good for us. Your parents told you so and they were right, but they and you need to heed that advice. Learning new skills later in life can slow down the onset of dementia. Attempting challenges such as learning a foreign language – which you can practice at the bar – or new skills, such as skiing, will reduce the risk of getting age related symptoms and diseases such as Alzheimers.

So what are you waiting for? Skiing is not only great fun but also scientifically proven to be good for you. Now that surely is an unbeatable combination.
Get blog assistant that works hard for you
